We decided to change realtors after a very disappointing experience with our first realtor. We decided to talk with other realtors in hopes of finding someone who would be more helpful ~ one who who be attentive to our needs, who would explain the “ins and outs” of selling our property, communicate  with us, and, of course, sell the property. This was our first time selling a property (we are retired) and really needed an experienced realtor to walk us through this process as kindergarteners! After meeting with Bob, we had no doubts ~ he took time with us, educated us, listened to us. He was professional in every way, but he was also friendly ~ kind of comfortable and down to earth ~ we listed with him. Bob followed through with, absolutely, everything he said he would do AND he kept in communication with us all along the way. This property was not an easy sell. For instance, it had township ordinances which made it difficult, if not impossible to develop in a way ideal for its location. Dereck was an indispensable help in our search for a “forever home” in Traverse City. BJ has a knack for understanding my needs and what I’m looking for in real estate investments. He is patient in finding the right properties as opposed to inundating me with options he knows wouldn’t be a perfect fit. Plain and simple, Eric is amazing at what he does. I reached out to Eric as we had previously worked together before he was a realtor and I knew he would serve me well as he always took pride in his work in general, so I knew he would do well in his new line of work (years ago now). Right from the  get go he got me squared away answering my questions and pointing me in the right direction for getting pre-approval. Then started sending me homes to view on the MLS. He knew what I wanted and narrowed my search for me. After viewing one disaster of a home (we knew it wasn’t going to be great at the price it was at, but had to check it anyways!) he took me to a house that was not on the market just yet. Viewed the home and we were under contract in less than 24 hours at a price both myself and the seller liked. He put me in touch with his favorite lender at the time, whom he still works with now, and both of them helped me out along the way. By the phone day and night answering any stupid question I had! Alexa showed us several potential lake front homes. She quickly learned what we were looking for, space, view, age, land etc. Alexa was great at making herself available not only to show us the homes but also when we had picked one and the process of inspection, negotiating repairs. Alexa  visited the home on several times for us, as we live downstate, to ensure that everything requested was being done and on time. At the last minute when the owners said that they could not move out on the agreed upon time, Alexa jumped into action and worked to help work it out so that everyone was happy. – 01/21/2020 – jay nehls
